From Viral to Vanishing: The 2019 TikTok Turning Point.
In 2019, I accidentally went viral on TikTok. Three videos—raw, humorous, real—garnered thousands of shares overnight. What could have been a launchpad into full-time content creation quickly became an internal reckoning. TikTok did not have the popularity behind it that it does now, and my account grew from 100 friends and family to over 100,000 followers overnight. At the time, I didn’t see social media as a career path; I saw it as a distraction. I deleted every account I had, opting instead to chase what I thought was the more “serious” path: law.
That decision didn’t come from fear, it came from purpose. I was deeply invested in understanding the systems that govern people’s lives, so I dove headfirst into studying Criminal Justice, Sociology, and Psychology, eventually earning my Master’s in Homeland Security and my Juris Doctor from Delaware Law School. Still, something about the pull of digital strategy and the impact of online storytelling never quite let go.

A Legal Mind. A Digital Blueprint.
While in law school, the two worlds—legal analysis and digital media—merged for the first time. I began working with a content brand, managing everything from digital storytelling to influencer outreach. What I quickly realized was that my education had uniquely equipped me to communicate complex legal concepts in simple, emotionally resonant ways.
I’ve worked in every layer of the legal system—intern, legal secretary, pre-bar associate, trial preparation, and law clerk. I’ve seen how time-consuming legal processes drown out innovation. I’ve also seen how most law firms are operating like it’s still 1998—absent from the platforms where their clients live. In this vacuum, Caplinger Consulting. was born.
From Courtrooms to Campaigns: Strategy by Design.
Caplinger Consulting isn't just another marketing agency. It's a consulting firm built by someone who lives and breathes both sides: the courtroom and the content calendar. My early legal career included work on Internet Crimes Against Children task forces, writing reports on online child safety, and handling cases that made the consequences of digital presence painfully real.
This legal gravity is at the heart of my strategy. I don’t just create content, I ensure it’s rooted in legal awareness, brand protection, and ethical amplification. That’s what sets Caplinger Consulting apart.
Real Clients, Real Results.
Before founding Caplinger Co., I’ve led digital strategy campaigns, brand activations, and influencer recruiting for names like:
Forged Irish Stout (Conor McGregor’s brand)
Sea Isle Spiked Iced Tea
2 Moods Clothing
Barstool Samson Street
Pogust Goodhead, a global plaintiff law firm
In one 30-day stretch, my personal organic content strategy led to 1.5 million+ engagements across my personal platforms. These weren’t paid numbers—they were earned through psychologically informed content, performance data, and an intuitive understanding of human behavior in a digital world.
I’ve organized influencer activations, restaurant events, brand takeovers, and even built strategies for other Gen Z-led startups. I’ve managed entire digital ecosystems—from ideation to posting, analytics, and community management—while working law jobs during the day.
Raised by the Internet: A Digital Native with Depth
My digital journey began on Neopets, MySpace, Tumblr, and HTML forums before middle school. I was coding layouts and building fan sites in an era when Facebook still required a college email. I watched the world shift—from dial-up to smartphones, from AIM away messages to BeReal notifications. I’ve been adapting since the beginning.
Unlike younger content creators who were handed a digital world fully built, I learned the hard way—through mistakes, misfires, and learning what a “digital footprint” really meant before it became corporate buzz. I came of age during peak social chaos:
The 2008 financial crisis during 7th grade
Post-9/11 policy and paranoia
Obama’s presidency and the hope it inspired
The launch of Facebook, YouTube, Twitter
The rise of climate anxiety, mass shootings, MeToo
COVID-19—graduating into a locked-down world, starting law school in a mask
I am a Gen Z/Millennial hybrid who knows both the power and cost of the internet. And that makes my approach to strategy different.
The Reality for Law Firms: Missing the Moment
Social media is not just for influencers or e-commerce anymore—it’s today’s newspaper, billboard, and arguably your LinkedIn résumé. Law firms are woefully underrepresented online. They’re missing the chance to humanize their work, demystify the law, and connect with real people.
The clients of tomorrow are watching TikTok, reading carousels on Instagram, and learning legal basics from strangers online. The attorney who shows up with authority, clarity, and empathy online wins, and the firm that invests in digital presence is the one that scales.
Caplinger Consulting steps in at this intersection of law and digital strategy. We help small firms and businesses tell their stories with purpose, not just for likes, but for legacy.
Why Caplinger Co. Matters Right Now
This moment we’re in is uniquely chaotic. Social media is loud, attention spans are short, and people are overwhelmed by information. But I believe that strong, clear storytelling—rooted in human psychology and legal understanding—cuts through the noise.
Whether I’m supporting lawyers, influencers, or lifestyle brands, I’m bringing the same mindset to every project:
📌 Strategy with structure
📌 Messaging with meaning 📌 Digital campaigns with depth
Final Thoughts: The Courtroom Is My Strategy, Not My Cage
I love the law. I always will. But my courtroom isn’t confined to a judge and jury, it’s every platform where people are making decisions about who to trust, hire, follow, and believe.
Caplinger Consulting is my way of changing how the legal, lifestyle, and business worlds operate in the digital age, making sure the right stories get told by the right people, in the right way.
And we’re just getting started.
