ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Rebecca Paige Caplinger is a dynamic force at the intersection of law, branding, business consulting, and content creation. As the founder of Sidebar Consulting, Rebecca merges legal precision with visionary creativity, leveraging a career shaped by courtroom grit, marketing strategy, and sociological/psychological insight.

EDUCATION

Rebecca Paige Caplinger holds a J.D. from Widener University - Delaware School of Law, where she was a proud member of the Brehon Society, Phi Alpha Delta, the Women’s Law Caucus, and the First Generation Law Student Association. During her time in law school, Rebecca not only focused on the foundations of legal practice, but also began exploring how law intersects with branding, business development, and digital media—planting the early seeds for what would become Caplinger Consulting, her boutique marketing and administrative consulting agency.

Before law school, Rebecca earned both her B.A. in Criminal Justice and Sociology (minor in psychology) and her M.A. in Homeland Security (specializing in Domestic Security) from Rider University. She completed both degrees in just five years, an accomplishment that speaks to her relentless drive and ability to synthesize complex systems efficiently, a skill she now brings to her work helping small businesses streamline operations and optimize branding. Her academic background in sociology and psychology gives her a unique advantage in marketing and consulting: she understands not only how businesses work, but why people connect with them.

LEGAL BACKGROUND

Rebecca’s legal background is shaped by a diverse range of experiences across government, private practice, and the judiciary. Working in varied legal environments, from courtroom settings to law office operations, has given her a well-rounded perspective on how legal institutions function, both in theory and in practice. Her exposure to so many facets of the legal world has not only strengthened her skills as a legal thinker, but also allowed her to analyze what drives success internally: systems, structure, incentives, and culture.

Throughout her legal journey, Rebecca began noticing consistent patterns, especially in how offices are run, how staff and attorneys are managed, and where workflow breakdowns often occur. Rather than viewing these patterns as limitations, she saw opportunities: opportunities to build better administrative systems, streamline communication, and improve the day-to-day functionality of legal workplaces. That mindset laid the foundation for her consulting work, where she now helps small law firms and professional service providers restructure their operations for efficiency, growth, and sustainability.

Her legal background also makes her an asset when it comes to recruiting and developing legal talent. Having worked alongside and mentored future attorneys, Rebecca understands what motivates associates beyond just salary, professional growth, flexible systems, mentorship, and purpose. She advises firms on how to design environments that not only run well, but feel good to be a part of, helping them attract the right people and build teams that actually want to stay and grow.

Today, Rebecca brings her legal insight to everything she does, whether it's consulting a law firm on internal systems, mentoring pre-bar professionals, or preparing to re-enter practice herself in criminal defense or entertainment law. She sees law not just as a profession, but as a platform for structure, advocacy, and empowerment, principles that she applies every day through her consulting agency and entrepreneurial ventures.

MARKETING BACKGROUND

Rebecca brings a rare blend of legal intellect, creative strategy, and entrepreneurial insight to the world of marketing. With a social media presence that has generated over 1.5 million engagements in just the past few months, Rebecca has mastered the art of creating tailored, legally-informed content that resonates with today’s digital audiences. Her platforms have become a hub for accessible legal education, storytelling, and influencer-driven brand-building—all delivered through a voice that is both strategic and unapologetically authentic.

Her expertise goes far beyond her own content. Rebecca has worked inside a national marketing agency, where she helped manage high-profile accounts and direct large-scale activations, influencer collaborations, and social media rollouts. She’s been instrumental in organizing brand campaigns, team communications, and creator strategies—often acting as the direct bridge between creators and companies. She’s collaborated one-on-one with elite businesses and household names such as:

  • Conor McGregor’s Forged Irish Stout

  • Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC)

  • Pogust Goodhead, an international law firm handling global class action litigation

In these roles, Rebecca has overseen the full lifecycle of campaigns—from ideation to execution—including content creation, talent sourcing, PR outreach, campaign reporting, and event activations. She excels in connecting brands to creators in a way that feels intentional, not transactional.

But while she’s worked with top-tier names, Rebecca is just as passionate about helping small businesses, solo entrepreneurs, and rising influencers find their voice and scale their operations. She’s consulted with dozens of small businesses—many of them run by one to two people—to refine their messaging, streamline backend operations, and craft compelling marketing strategies that convert.

Rebecca’s marketing work is deeply influenced by her academic and legal background. Her knowledge of branding psychology, audience behavior, and intellectual property law allows her to approach marketing with the precision of a strategist and the voice of a creator. Whether she’s hosting an influencer event, drafting brand copy, or managing team logistics, she brings intention, clarity, and a creative vision that helps people—and brands—show up powerfully.
